IMPRISONED ANARCHIST MARTIN IGNAČÁK HAS GONE ON HUNGER STRIKE

On Friday 27.5. 2016 in Pankrác remand prison anarchist Martin Ignačák accused of terrorism went on hunger strike. He did this because on 29.4. 2016 the City court in Prague ruled in favour of his release from remand and the state’s attorney appealed this decision to the High court in Prague. On friday 27.5. 2016 the High court in Prague extended the remand. Therefore the anarchist has decided to protest by going on hunger strike and has stopped taking in nutrition and liquids. This type of hunger strike threatens the life of the hunger striker after a week.

During the year long investigation of the preparation of a supposed terrorist attack the imprisoned anarchist has exhausted all legal options, to achieve objective procedure of the respective organs active in the criminal proceedings. None of them were taken into account. This is why he now chose this radical form of expression, to draw attention to this manipulated police case. ” I consider the approach of the investigators and the police to be very problematic, it is a threat to the freedom of every human being, a threat to freedom of speech, a threat to activism that tries to lead to a better world , and this doesn’t just involve anarchists.”

Martin is being prosecuted in the so called Fénix case from April 2015, in which altogether 5 people were accused of the preparation and the failure to notify of a terrorist attack on a train. Martin is the only one who has been in remand prison this whole time and his detention has now been extended after the intervention of the state’s attorney. As a reason for the extension of remand the state’s attorney used the testimony of a police agent who infiltrated the anarchist movement in 2014. From his testimony the state’s attorney drew the conclusion that Martin might attempt to escape to Spain. Another reason, according to him, was that Martin ” is connected to the so called Síť revolučních buněk/ The Network of Revolutionary Cells (SRB) and therefore also to similar organizations abroad.” The police spoke about SRB when they began Fénix and provided information to the media. ” Any connections between the 5 attacks ascribed to SRB and all the detained and accused have been refuted. The investigators themselves have ruled it out” says Martin.

At the moment Martin is the second longest detained prisoner in the Pankrác remand prison. For 13 months he lives there under conditions, that negatively affect his psychological and physical state. For example he has been refused food free of animal products, which means he practically doesn’t have access to hot food. Friends, who have come to visit him have been mentioned by name in the indictment. Police from the Department for combating organized crime have started to collect information on Martin’s sister, only because she tries to support her brother in whichever way she can.

For Martin parole would mean that after 13 long months he would again see his friends, family, nature, that he wouldn’t be exposed to emotional deprivation and physical hardship.

Update Sunday, May 29th: Martin’s sister Pavla B. joined her brother in the protest and this morning she has started hunger strike herself as well.

REPORT FROM THE COURT WITH IGOR

_252qrxm9IE

It has been just over a year since the police operation ‘Fenix’ became known to the people of Czech Republic. Just over 1 Year since the 1st arrests were made, of which Martin still remains on remand in custodial prison as a result of what appears to be entrapment. People are still being bullied, pursued and repressed on a daily basis. On 26 & 27 April was the first trial since the repression began (to our knowledge). The case of Igor Shevstov, who was accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at the house of defense minister Stropnický, and for filming somebody graffiti the prison. He was looking at 15 years imprisonment, on top of the 3 months already served in custodial prison (remand), where he was kept under maximum security for part of the time. Brno – Igor je náš bratr!

IMG_6816 IMG_6817 IMG_6818

My jsme Igorova rodina, chceme, aby tu zůstal s námi, nevěříme v pokrytecký stav současné demokracie. Igore jsme tu s tebou.

PODPOŘ IGORA Š. U SOUDU! // IGOR HAS A COURT HEARING

Vem přátele a přijď popořit kamaráda, soudruha, anarchistu k soudu! Naší zbraní je solidarita!

The very first court hearing since the Fenix started will take a place in Prague city court on April 26-27th. The court is about the case of Igor Shevcov. An anarchist accused of fabricated attack on the house of minister of defense. During this so called attack nothing was damaged and no one got hurt. In the time of incident – which the ministers son mentioned in his first testimony – Igor could not be physically near by the house. More info about the case is in the pamphlet “Fenix did not rise from the ashes” page 5. Igor already had spent 3 months in remand and since September 2015 he has been out on probation. Part of the “deal” is that Igor could have not  leave the Czech Republic at all and once a week he must go to visit the probation office. He can be sentenced uo to 15 years. Take friends and come to support a comrade, anarchist and great friend Igor to the court room! The solidarity is our strongest weapon!

Solidarity events in Australia

DSC_0238Hallo comrades!
Some weeks ago we organized 2 info events about Operation Fenix- in an anarchist bookshop Jura in Sydney and in a squatted social center Hotshots in Melbourne. We spoke as well about the situation of Klinika and about the problem of infiltration of radical groups in general. Comrades in Jura spontaneously made a picture which we want to share with the Antifenix blog visitors, we as well sent it via post to Martin, together with many other messages of love, rage and solidarity.
Your struggles are inspiring even here on the other side of the world! Down with capitalism, state, patriarchy and all this shit which restricts our freedom!

RESPONSE ON THE LIES SPREAD ABOUT OUR COMRADE LUKAS BORL

On several profiles, blogs and web pages we saw that our comrade – 100% trusted person and friend LUKAS BORL is accused from being a collaborator with Nazis and giving information to cops. Also someone started FAKE Facebook profile under Lukas’ name. All of this is a COMPLETE LIE! These fake messages are probably spread by cops or an enterpriser Vladimir Krulec. Krulec is for longer time in conflict with local anarchist movement because he and his company is not paying the wages to workers and he’s been angry because of sabotages which have been done on his property. Lukas Borl has been living in underground for several months because he is officially wanted. The website of Czech police says that he is dangerous and armed. However he never harmed anyone this shows how much police wants to discredit him and make his life as hard as possible. This false messages about Lukas Borl being an informatory were probably written in order to make already difficult life situation of our comrade even harder and or to monitor how anarchist network communicates. We would like to assure everybody that it´s a lie and a part of police strategy against him, against anarchist and anti authoritarian movement and against international solidarity which has shown to be stronger than police repression. Please publish and share this message in order to prevent misleading information which can harm “freedom” and life of not only Lukas Borl. To approve this information you can check antifenix.noblogs.org – a sister website of Czech ABC focusing on contemporary wave of police repression in Czech Rep. called operation Fenix.

Confirmed: Lukáš Borl under police investigation

On 24th October 2015 was my article published on the Association of Alerta’s website. Where I‘ve expressed the suspicion that the police want to arrest me and imprison me. This suspicion has become the reason of my disappearance from the perspective of the state power. In less than a month after the publication, my suspicions were confirmed. On 12th November 2015, according to the police website, it’s been confirmed that they’re searching for me as you can see here:  Continue reading
